Wedding - the ceremony!

As much as Ed and I worked to make our wedding day as low stress as possible, we didn't escape a little bit of last minute stress, but some very dear friends and family came to the rescue. :) Our wedding turned out to be exactly what we wanted - simple and casual, but beautiful and oh, so joyful! .... as I hope you'll see......

The prerequisites: Item 1: the hair up-do! A work of art!

And the bouquet - the flower arranging was a gift to us from our dear friend Alvin - I told him very basically what I wanted and let the artist go to work!And the groom! (maybe he should have been first!!)The wedding tent, all set up on the green space between our house and the river, in the great green cathedral of the outdoors!Alvin's artful arrangements adorn the wedding arch!Everyone is seated and we're ready to go - misting up a little with my dad, waiting on our back porch.My niece Jessica was our flower girl - she took her time, setting every petal down with a perfectionist's touch. :)

Now it's my turn to walk the aisle - I can't wait to get to the front! Note the cell phones being used to text pictures to folks who couldn't be there. :)

Our friends Steve and Sharol Hayner, both pastors, married us. We think they and their marriage are such incredible models, and we had so much fun with them all through the ceremony!Our friend Jon Hart, a beautiful tenor, sang Be Thou My VisionMarilyn Borst, our missions pastor, read our Scripture, Romans 12:9-18

And my friend Sherstin, who was instrumental in taking care of me that morning and keeping me on time, as well as organizing our photographer, also did a phenomenal job of a very difficult arrangement of The Prayer of St. Francis. Thank you, Sherstin!!
Exchanging rings - I can't keep the big grin under wraps!

The Lord's Prayer, sung by the "Smelly Creek Boys"- so beautiful they were asked to sing it in church a few weeks later, and Ed joined them. WE'RE MARRIED!! OFF ON A NEW ADVENTURE
