The tsingy are far from barren rock - it is an extremely rich in biodiversity. Life takes hold anywhere possible, in any pocket of soil,
with all kinds of palms,
and an assortment of crazy plants!
There are several species of lemur - here's a sifakaand some brown lemurs I got fairly close to by imitating their calland a little owl hoping to go unnoticed in a crevice (red eye!)and a lizard
